Littleborough woman aims to become Neilson Active Ambassador 2020

Date published: 06 March 2020

A Littleborough woman is hoping to inspire people to become more active as a Neilson Active Ambassador.

Danielle Wilson, 24, who currently works in HR, has applied for the role of a lifetime as Neilson Active Holidays’ active ambassador – its “Chief Oomph Officer.”

If successful, Danielle will win a one-year work package worth up to £50,000, spending time abroad and encouraging others to become active.

Described as “possibly the best job ever”, Neilson say their active ambassador for 2020 will “have the important role of sharing your passion for the activities you love and promoting the #GetYourActiveOn message to those lacking some oomph, as well as living your best life on the slopes or on the beach.”

Active from a young age, Danielle likes to find new and interesting ways of being active, from aerial Pilates and parkrun, to gym workouts and yoga.

She said: “I believe it’s the perfect role for me. I’m a motivational person, I like to inspire new ways of thinking and ignite people’s get up and go. I’m a big bundle of energy and being able to pass that onto other people is what I enjoy the most.

“I’ll be able to promote more ways of being active and inspire people like myself who have a nine-to-five job to move their bodies in exciting ways and help get their active on.”

The top 20 applications by public vote will progress to the shortlisting stage, before the final stage of face-to-face interviews at Neilson’s Head Office in Brighton.

The deadline to vote is Friday 17 April.
