Feeding Rochdale Homeless in desperate need of donations

Volunteer group Feeding Rochdale Homeless is in desperate need of donations.
The volunteers, who serve around 60 people every Sunday at Champness Hall, Drake Street, have issued an appeal for essential items to help them continue helping those in need.
The group needs:
- Sturdy disposable plates and bowls
- Disposable spoons
- Disposable forks
- Plastic bags
- Disposable juice glasses/cups
- UHT milk
- Sugar
- Paper towels/napkins
- Any form of takeaway tubs, even empty butter/margarine tubs etc
- Dried dog food
- Coffee
- Tea
Volunteer Michele Morgan said: “We are in desperate need of some help through donations of some essential items to help us continue to do what we do.
“If you can help in any way, we would be really grateful.”
Donations can be made by dropping them off on a Sunday between 1pm and 2.30pm, or by contacting the group via Facebook to arrange collection:
The group has been running for about four years, and has around 12 regular volunteers.
Feeding Rochdale Homeless run their Sunday meal session from 1.30pm.
