Damage at Littleborough Railway Station
Vandals have caused thousands of pounds’ worth of damage at Littleborough Railway Station, over the weekend of 21-23 February.
The vandals damaged windows, a waiting shelter and ticket vending machines, which will cost over £10,000 to repair.
Northern has confirmed that the damage is being investigated by British Transport Police.
A spokesman for Northern said: “Over the weekend of 21 - 23 February vandals caused significant damage to many parts of Littleborough station.
“The damage, which is being investigated by British Transport Police, was caused on different days during the weekend and affected windows, the waiting shelter and ticket vending machines. The total cost of repairs is likely to be more than £10,000.
“We urge anyone with information about the incidents to contact British Transport Police.”
