Kevin Sartain, the principal of Beech House School, attended the Parliamentary Review Gala at the House of Commons in the last week of November.
Having been included in the Parliamentary Review as one of the top twelve schools in the North of England, Mr Sartain was invited to the reception to celebrate this honour.
It is the fourth time in the last seven years he has been invited to such an event as one of the leading headteachers in the country.
Founded in 1850, Beech House School is an independent co-educational school for students aged two to 16.
The Parliamentary Review, a key feature in the political calendar, is a series of independent publications, which aims to share best practice among policy makers, business leaders and become a vital learning tool to both the public and private sector.
It highlights significant successes, developments and concerns for school leaders up and down the country.
