Littleborough Lions fun run for children's charity
Date published: 18 August 2008
Littleborough Lion’s are hosting a five-kilometre Fun Run to help raise money for children’s charity MedEquip4kids.
The event takes place at 7pm on Tuesday 26 August, starting and finishing at Littleborough’s Conservative Club in Peel Street.
MedEquip4Kids provides medical equipment for use in children’s wards and neo-natal units at hospitals across the North West. It is currently funding five digital syringe pumps for the High Dependency Unit at Rochdale Infirmary to replace outdated equipment and which will be more accurate delivering medication through a drip in very precise quantities.
The run costs £4 to enter for adults and £3.50 for juniors.
MedEquip4Kids Community Fundraiser, Rachel Allen, said: “I am always looking for ways to get Rochdale’s community involved with MedEquip4Kids and the 5k event is the perfect way people can help.”
For more information and to enter contact Rachel on 0161 798 1600 or Rachel.allen@medequipkids.org.uk
