Specsavers in Rochdale talk on eye health careers at St Andrew’s Primary School
To encourage budding young opticians to pursue a career in eye health, Specsavers in Rochdale has delivered a talk on eye health careers at St Andrew’s Primary School.
Pupils aged from 6 - 11 taking their KS1 SATs examinations, were invited to attend the event to learn more about eye health and the different paths into a career in the field.
The event was comprised of a variety of fun and engaging sessions, including an interactive quiz, where pupils were tasked with solving optical illusions.
The Specsavers Rochdale team is now reaching out to other schools in the town to deliver the talks to more pupils.
Sarah Culshaw, store director at Specsavers Rochdale, says: “It has been fantastic to work with the pupils at St Andrews Primary School.
“We strongly believe that by investing in students, we are helping to encourage a motivated and productive local community, whilst encouraging children to consider a career in eye health from a very early age.
“Our team has a huge amount of expertise and experience, and it’s excellent to be able to share this to and hopefully inspire the next generation to join us.”
