President Mike Goldrick said: “It was a fantastic event with very informative talks on subjects ranging from the problems created by fly tipping to childhood obesity.

“The enthusiasm of all the speakers gave the judging panel a real problem when choosing a winner who received a cheque for £20.

“The runners up each received £10.

“But the real winners were the club who listened to pupils from this remarkable school.

“The school will now be able to display the 'Kris Kaushal' trophy for the next year, so well done to them.”

The club also presented the Redwood School with a cheque for £500 as a part of its 'Santa Sleigh' campaign.
