Man arrested after shots fired in Middleton

A man has been arrested after shots were fired in Middleton on Thursday night (20 June).

Shortly after 10.50pm, police were called to reports of shots heard on Ullswater Drive.

Officers attended and found evidence at the scene consistent with a firearms discharge.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He remains in custody for questioning.

Enquiries are ongoing.
