One Great Day raises £400 for Great Ormond Street

Rochdale Exchange successfully raised more than £400 at its One Great Day event held on Saturday 15 June, thanks to the support of its Small Business Market and donations from shoppers visiting the centre.

The Small Business Market had stalls from 11 local independent businesses, all of which had donated money to take part.

One Great Day is a series of family and community charity events held throughout the month of June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and 113 different children’s charities. Since 2014 over £500,000 has been raised.

Lorenzo O’Reilly, centre manager of Rochdale Exchange, said: "One Great Day is a fantastic event that allows our community to come together whilst helping children that really need support. Our Small Business Market is a really positive way to not only give something back to but also showcase some of the incredibly talented entrepreneurs we have in Rochdale."
