Daycare staff and children think about those less fortunate than them

Date published: 20 June 2019

Seeros Daycare children’s nursery in Rochdale celebrated Eid with a party whilst collecting food for the homeless.

Led by staff member Nazmin Akhtar, staff and children at Seeros collected and donated food for the homeless, in recognition of those who go without and those in need within the local community.

Managing Director Samira Ansari said: “I am very proud of my team and thank everyone who kindly donated to this very worthy cause.”

Millions of Muslims throughout the world participated in fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, followed by the celebration of Eid al Fitr marking the end of the month.

The act of fasting involves abstaining from food and drink from sunrise to sunset in order to enable appreciation of food and drink whilst remembering there are people all over the world who have to go without because they simply don’t have any.
