Rochdale Foodbank and Tesco store join forces

Date published: 13 June 2019

Rochdale Foodbank volunteers will be holding a food collection at the entrance to Tesco in Sudden on Friday 14 June and Saturday 15 June.

This has been possible due to generous support from staff at the store.

The foodbank, which in May gave out desperately-needed food parcels to 600 residents of Rochdale, is entirely dependent on contributions of food and money from the local community and this collection will enable the volunteers to re-stock with much-needed supplies.

The people of Rochdale have, for the past six and a half years, been incredibly generous in their donations and their support for the many people in the town struggling to feed themselves and their families.

The foodbank is at present in particular need of biscuits, breakfast cereals, jam, dried rice, tinned custard, and rice pudding, and tinned and dried potatoes.
