Cars damaged by 'boulders' thrown from East Lancashire Railway Bridge at Heywood

Children throwing ‘boulders’ from the East Lancashire Railway Bridge at Heywood have damaged four cars travelling on the motorway.
At least one car had its windscreen smashed by a stone that was thrown whilst it was travelling on the M66 between junctions two and three on Wednesday (22 May).
Speaking via social media, North West Motorway Police said: “Children are on a bridge above the motorway throwing boulders onto unsuspecting passing motorists.
“This time, no-one was injured or at worst lost their life.
“Four vehicles in total have damage.”
