Middleton’s ‘Big Day’ an opportunity to ask questions directly to service providers

A Community Services event will be taking place at The Lighthouse Project on Friday 17 May showcasing local services available to families in the borough of Rochdale.

Organiser Tony Ettenfield said: "This is your opportunity to come along and ask your questions directly to the service providers."

Almost 50 stands from different areas of the community will be at the event including; children and family services, services for the elderly, public and private services, and charities.

There will be advice available for people who need help with money, mental health, adult care, the disabled, residents with Alzheimers, Dementia, Parkinsons and MS.

Organiser Tony Ettenfield said: “We are delighted to have so many exhibitors from all areas of the NHS, council, wellbeing and sport facilities.

“48 stands and four in-house services, The Pantry, Foodbank, Money advice, DWP and The Lighthouse's own services are all attending.  

“The best part is, it's free.

“We are truly grateful to the Lighthouse for all their help and allowing us to use their premises.

“Come along between 11am and 2pm and meet your services directly.

“There is easy access for disabled people, all on the same level via the rooftop car park or via the lift.”

The event will be opened by the Deputy Mayor, Billy Sheerin at 11am.
