Success for Springhill’s Hospice to Hospice walk

Date published: 03 May 2019

Springhill Hospice hosted their 13th annual Hospice to Hospice Walk on Sunday 28 April. The day started with Springy the Springhill mascot heading up the crowd of 540 supporters ready to take on the walk and burn some calories.

With the weather on the walker’s side a great day was had by all.

Families, colleagues and lots of four-legged friends all walked the route to raise funds for the hospice.

Those taking part walked a 7.25-mile circuit from Springhill stopping at neighbouring Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Attendees were able to stop at each hospice as a half way point for refreshments and a break before heading off to finish the rest of the walk in the sunshine.

After finishing, supporters returned to the hospice to collect their special 30th Anniversary medal for taking part in the 15,000-step walk.

Springhill’s Event and Campaigns Fundraiser, Rebekah Cheshire said: “What a fabulous turnout we had, and the sunshine even made an appearance for us too.
