Easter themed friendship morning at Stamford House

Date published: 16 April 2019

Last week Stamford House held their monthly friendship morning with special visitors from Patricia and Mandi’s childminding, with an Easter theme.

Roxanne Sharp, Events and Activity co-ordinator at Stamford House Rest Home said: “We started with story time and singing, the residents enjoyed joining in with some traditional Easter nursery rhymes, musical statues, musical bumps and pin the tail on the bunny, with Easter eggs as prizes.

“The children and residents made Easter nest cakes, which they enjoyed as a snack later.

“The children then coloured in some Easter bunny pictures for our display board.

“The morning finished with our goodbye song and each of the children received a chocolate Easter bunny and an Easter lolly for a treat.

“We are looking forward to our next friendship morning in May when we will be planting sunflower seeds for our sunflower memorial garden and for the children to take home.”
