Armed police search three homes in Rochdale after man arrested in Royton on suspicion of money laundering

Three addresses in Rochdale have been searched by armed police in connection with an arrest made in Royton.
House searches were conducted at two properties on Kingsway, and one property on Lowerfold Drive, following the arrest of a 45-year-old man on Sunday (7 April).
Police stopped a vehicle on Shaw Road, Royton at around 6.30pm where they discovered the vehicle contained a large quantity of cash.
The man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and remains in custody for questioning.
Enquiries are ongoing.
