Annual celebration of achievements at the Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture

The Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture (CWTC) recently celebrated local achievements at the Unique Enterprise Centre on Belfield Road.

The event on 13 March was well attended by local community members, councillors and representatives of various health services including; Living Well, Carers’ Hub Rochdale, Diabetes nurses, Millercare, Khubsuret House, dementia clinical research, the Greater Manchester Nutrition and Hydration programme, Total Communications language therapy service, Mozaic Manchester and Bowlee Community Association.

The event was also attended by the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Mohammed Zaman.

He said: “This is a great event and such events are very important for our local residents to be aware of what is available in their local area.”

He thanked CWTC staff and the local health services for providing the services available.

There was also a certificate presentation ceremony for participants who completed Dementia Community Champion training, Supporting Carers Level 2 training and Understanding Dementia Level 2 training delivered by CWTC.

Robina Kausar, CWTC Community Engagement Worker said: “The event was a great opportunity to promote local services for dementia, health and social care services.”

Service user, Hafsa Wahab said: "Since I joined CWTC, I have gained confidence and skills over the months, including becoming a dementia community champion."
