Candidates for the 2019 election have been published
The full list of candidates for the local election on 2 May has been published on the election pages of Rochdale Online.

Both Labour and Conservatives are fielding candidates in all 20 wards.
The Liberal Democrats are fielding candidates in 14 wards, the exceptions being East Middleton, North Middleton, West Middleton, Hopwood Hall, North Heywood and West Heywood.
UKIP is fielding 16 candidates across the borough, excluding: Central Rochdale, Kingsway, Milkstone & Deeplish and Spotland & Falinge.
The Greens have eight candidates, contesting the wards of Balderstone & Kirkholt, Bamford, Castleton, Kingsway, Littleborough Lakeside, Milkstone & Deeplish, Norden and Spotland & Falinge.
There are no independent candidates this year.
Candidates are invited to submit pitches (news@rochdaleonline.co.uk) and a profile photograph to be published on the election pages, and this year we are also encouraging video pitches.
