Easter fun at The Middleton Shopping Centre

Date published: 10 April 2019

The Middleton Shopping Centre has free half term children’s entertainment this Easter holiday.

On Friday 12 April, Chris Topper Puppets makes a welcome return to the centre to bring his Three Little Pig Puppet Show muppet style puppets to life.

These interactive shows take place at 11.30am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

Chris has been performing puppet shows for all ages of children for over 30 years and not only is a first-class puppeteer, he also is a highly talented puppet maker.

On Good Friday 19 April, between 11.00am and 3.00pm, the youngsters can get creative at recycling workshops.  With scraps of fabric and wool, children can make ‘Rag Peg Dollies’ and with old, out of date newspapers, make newspaper pictures as well as crowns, fans, and boxes.

Anna Ramsden, Centre Manager said: “The Middleton Shopping Centre is a firm advocate of recycling and is always looking for new waste saving initiatives. Children are even more in tune with recycling than we were when we were young and we are certain that they will embrace the recycling theme for our craft workshops.

“The British Heart Foundation, Project Lighthouse and Middleton News have also joined us and have donated material and newspapers for use at the craft workshops.”
