Mothers of all ages were treated to a traditional Mother's Day tea at the Woolworths Sports and Social Club on Sunday 31 March.
The event was well-attended with mothers treated to a ‘Wonder of Woolies Club’ afternoon tea by their family members.
Pretty pastel cake stands with sandwiches and sweet treats graced every table, accompanied by glasses of bubbly and spring daffodils.
Bob’s Bingo, a speciality of the house, was held by popular demand with lots of prizes.
Stewardess Annette and her helpers made the occasion once again a memorable one for members' special mothers.
Founded in December 1979 by employees of the Woolworth Distribution Centre, the social club was saved from closure in February 2018 after more than 39 years of business.
