The Bake Off in aid of Comic Relief at Holt Mill Day Service
It was cakes galore on Wednesday 13 March for The Bake Off in aid of Comic Relief at Holt Mill Day Service, part of the Healey Care group.
A spokesperson for Healey Care said: “Each of the residential and supported living service users, and those who attend the day service, were busy baking for the Bake Off.
“There was a variety of cakes and buns and imagination on the day.
“The cakes were judged, and although the judges were over full with trying every cake, winners were picked.
“1st prize was Bury Road Supported Living, 2nd prize was Woodleigh House.
“But the biggest winners were all the service users and staff who then ate the cakes with a cup of coffee.
“£50 was raised for Comic Relief.
“We also had a box of gingerbread socks for Down Syndrome Day, which raised £15.
“On Odd Socks Day, (Down Syndrome Day) Thursday 21 March, we are having an afternoon get together to compare our odd socks.”
