‘Theme it Green’ and have fun for the Hospice

Date published: 10 March 2019

Springhill Hospice has launched their Go Green campaign for the whole month of May, and this year it’s bigger and better than ever.

To celebrate Springhill’s 30th anniversary year, their Go Green campaign will take place over 30 days in May, with a very special celebration day event for everyone who has taken part on Friday 31 May.

In previous years, businesses, schools and individuals have all taken part in this campaign with a variety of events and challenges being undertaken to raise money for the Hospice.

Some of the previous fundraising has included, walking the length of the M60, taking on the Three Peaks challenge, head shaving or simply even cake selling.

What you do to raise money is completely upto you, all Springhill says is ‘Theme it Green’ and have fun.

Rebekah Cheshire, Springhill’s Events and Campaigns Fundraiser said: “Go Green is so much fun.

"The best thing about this campaign is that everyone can get involved and choose what they do and how they do it.

"You could hold a green cake bake sale, wear green fancy dress or even your onesie, play a football match, participate in a green themed aerobics class, have a Tweet-fest or quiz.

“We just say, ‘Theme it Green’ and go for it!”
