A man has been taken to hospital with leg injuries after being shot near Falinge Park on Monday (21 January).
Shortly before 2.50pm, police were called to reports that a man had been shot on Knowsley Street in Rochdale.
Firearms officers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.
A 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital by road ambulance with leg injuries.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service confirmed they sent the air ambulance, road ambulance, a senior clinician and a rapid response vehicle.
