Strong passes in English and Maths for Middleton Technology School

Middleton Technology School Y11, collected their GCSE results today, Thursday 23 August.

Janine Kellett, Head Teacher said: “Georga Gleave was our top performing student, achieving an incredible six grade 9s, two As, and two grade 7s - what an incredible achievement!"

Alex Mackenzie-Hawkins gained a two grade 9s, in Maths and Biology, two grade 8s in Chemistry and Physics and a Level 2 Distinction* in Engineering.

Alex said: "I am going on to Rochdale Sixth Form to do Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

"I want to go to university to study Medicine and then work in Medical Research.

“My favourite subjects at school have been the sciences.” 

Janine Kellett went on to say: “We are delighted to report that the percentage of students achieving strong passes in English and Maths has improved; and the percentage of students achieving standard passes in English and in Maths is once again above the National Average.

“So many of our students were incredibly proud of their results, having worked so hard to achieve such good grades, and we were too!

“We wish all of our Y11s all the best for the future.”
