Rochdale Online caught a quick interview with Cast frontman, John Power, ahead of their slot at this year’s Feel Good Festival.

Emerging from the Britpop movement of the mid-1990s, Liverpudlian band Cast signed to Polydor Records with their 1995 debut album, All Change, becoming the highest selling debut album for the label.

The band is fronted by John Power, who previously played bass for The La’s, Liam Tyson, Keith O’Neill and Jay Lewis.

Having split in 2001, Cast reformed in 2010, released their fifth album a year later.

Their latest album, Kicking Up the Dust, was released in April 2017, but Cast have already announced the November release of a compilation album: Singles 1995-2017.

The album’s release will coincide with a month-long, 13-date Greatest Hits Tour across the U.K at the end of this year.
