Date published: 20 July 2018

Whilst Rochdale town centre has already benefitted from unprecedented levels of investment, with a £250million regeneration programme almost complete, there is more to come with a further £150million to be invested.

The projects to come include:

  • Redevelopment of Rochdale’s magnificent Grade 1 listed Town Hall
  • Improvements to Town Hall Square
  • The new market opening in August
  • Drake Street/Heritage Action Zone improvements
  • 2,000 new residential properties to be built right in the heart of the town centre

The changes have dramatically improved the town centre and made it an attractive opportunity for new businesses, and the further £150million to be spent, taking the total investment to £400million, will doubtless attract more businesses to the town centre.
