Rochdale Christadelphians

Date published: 05 July 2018

Our Bible Hour this Sunday, 8 July at 4:30pm, is entitled ‘Jesus – Son of God’. What does this phrase mean?

Many people believe that the Father and Son are one, part of the same Godhead, but does this really make sense?

Jesus was born to Mary sometime around the year 0 AD. Luke chapter 1 verse 35 say ‘(The) Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.’

As Christadelphians, we believe in Jesus and God as separate beings – Hebrews 4:5 ‘was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin’.

He bore fully human nature, yet through his relationship with God he was able to overcome sin – and through his victory we can have forgiveness and life.

Our Bible class will be held, on Tuesday 10 July, on the subject ‘For love’s sake’.
