Beech House School

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed a visit to Spaceport, near Liverpool. We began by getting on a very special rocket which launched us into a world of space learning.

We were then treated to a cinema experience, a rocket demonstration and even a ride on a simulator, where we hurtled through the galaxy.

All the children had a fantastic time and were a credit to Beech House School.

As well as all of this, lunchtime was a bit more scenic than usual – we enjoyed a view of the Liverpool waterfront as we sped around the Mersey on our very own cruise liner. Out of this world...

The Senior Sports Day brought back memories of old – the sun shone.

On a glorious day there were many highly competitive races.

This year saw the introduction of a number of new events, including the decathlon.

The winner this year was Saturn, and the trophy was presented to their new House Captain – Ellie Jenkinson.

The Staff race was won by Mercury, with the ‘dream team’ of Ms Savazzi and Mr Hardy.

Saturn also won the tug of war.

They were however beaten by the Staff.

This was the most important event of the day – as far as the staff were concerned.

The House Point totals for the week are: Saturn 18, Mercury 13, Jupiter 4 and Neptune 4.

Pupil of the Week Certificates were awarded to:

  • Nursery – Musa Iba Kasim
  • Reception – Almas Zaidan
  • Year 1 –  Amelia Gorton-Rigg
  • Year 2 –  Jibreel Muwahhid
  • Year 3 – Haider Khan & Saud Tabassam
  • Year 4 – Camilla Zebedee-Howard
