National recognition for RBH repairs service

Date published: 28 June 2018

RBH's repairs and empty homes service has received national recognition for its hard work and customer service with the award of Housing Quality Network (HQN) accreditation.

HQN's Gill Stead visited RBH's Kingsway Stores on Monday (25 June) to make the award presentation.

The HQN accreditation is a prestigious kite mark. It provides independent validation of the RBH repairs service, looking at efficiency, effectiveness and customer focus.

The accreditation process is rigorous and involved in-depth scrutiny of all aspects of the repairs service, comparing RBH services to some of the highest performing organisations in the housing sector. Final recommendations are then reviewed by an independent panel of experts, who determined that RBH met the required criteria for full accreditation.

Cath Owston, RBH director of customer and communities, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive HQN accreditation for our repairs and empty homes service. This is recognition for the hard work and dedication of all our team members in ensuring that we provide a good and customer-focused service. We are also committed to improving our service and the guidance we have received from HQN will be invaluable in taking this forward.

Gill Stead, chairwoman of the HQN accreditation panel, said: "It is clear from RBH's submission and the assessment, that the RBH team are really committed to delivering a high quality service for their customers."
