A seven-year-old girl from Heywood has donated her hair to charity after having it cut short on Tuesday (26 June).
Emily Norbury had 15 inches of her long, thick hair cut at Melissa Jane’s in Heywood, and donated her locks to the Little Princess Trust, which supplies wigs to children with conditions that result in hair loss, such as alopecia or chemotherapy.
Her parents, Victoria and James Norbury, said: “Emily wanted her hair cutting short, but the whole family were in agreement that she should donate it, as we didn’t want her beautiful hair to go to waste.
“We are all very proud of her for choosing such a wonderful charity.”
