People turned out in droves for Norden Carnival on Saturday 16 June 2018.
The rain that had been forecast held off as floats from local groups, schools and nurseries paraded through the village.
The theme this year was Magic Garden so there were lots of people dressed up as flowers, bugs, toadstools, gnomes, fairies or flower pot men.
The parade went from from Caldershaw School at 1pm with a funfair, food and drinks, live music and craft stall at Norden Community School. Fabulous prizes were also available from the annual raffle.
Friends of Norden Jubilee Park teamed up with Rochdale in Bloom members and other residents to tidy up Norden, ahead of the carnival and businesses in the village decorated their windows.
The best float was awarded to Fisherfield Childcare. Other groups, schools and businesses taking part included:

Fisherfield Childcare receive their award from Mayor Zaman
King and Queen this year were last year’s Best Dressed Boy and Girl, Finlay Coyne and Olivia Pool.
This year’s best dressed couple have the honour of being next year’s King and Queen.
Posters were designed by competition winner Lily Grace Spencer and the runners up were Raeesah Islam, Isla Mclachlan, Billy Powell, Isabelle Shotton and Yahya Ahmed.
Norden Carnival was established in 1977 and has taken place every June as a charity fundraising event.
