Rochdale bingo player scoops £10k win from £3.60 stake

Date published: 04 June 2018

A Rochdale bingo player is celebrating after winning a whopping £10,000 from a stake of just £3.60 whilst playing at Meccabingo.com.

The player, who has asked to remain anonymous, scooped the win whilst playing Cashline, an online and in club game.

The lucky player has been a regular online and in club bingo player for many years, and has experienced several wins over this time, but none quite as big as this sum.

Having some plans for the money already, the winner hopes to treat their son, who is due to be married next year, to an all-expenses paid honeymoon trip as well as treating themselves to a few extra household goods.

Mecca Bingo’s lucky member, said: “Getting an incredible sum like this has been a real shock, it hasn’t even sunk in yet. You hear about others winning this kind of money in the news but you never think it could happen to you.

“I wanted to do something special for my son’s wedding, so the win has come at the perfect time.

“Winning a sum like this means I can make his special day all the more memorable, which is truly an amazing feeling.”

Caroline Webb, spokesperson for Mecca Bingo, said: “We are always thrilled to celebrate with our winners, especially when its used for such a lovely gesture.

"The prize has clearly come at such a perfect time, and we’re absolutely delighted for our winner and their family.”
