'Your Rochdale Dream Team' fantasy football prizes awarded

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the annual 'Your Rochdale Dream Team' fantasy football league on Saturday (2 June).

Sponsored by John Swinden of J D Alexander, prizes totalling £1,000 were up for grabs.

First-time entry Michaela Nokes took the first prize, a £500 voucher and the engraved ‘Your Rochdale’ cup.

She said: “It was my first year entering it, and I’d nailed it by Christmas. It was fantastic to win.”

Second place, and the winner of a £300 voucher was William Howarth.

He said: “The banter in the group was great, and it was good to be involved. Thank you to ‘big John’ and ‘little John’.”

The third voucher, for £200 went to Michael Turner.

The Your Rochdale Dream Team has been organised for the past three years by Dan Hamer.

A special world cup edition, with prizes from J D Alexander, will take place ahead of next season’s Premier League.
