Ellenroad Engine House welcomed ‘Oakenhoof’ on its monthly open day on Sunday (3 June).

Zoe Attwood, chairwoman of Ellenroad Engine House Steam Museum, said: "Every month we try to put a different side attraction on to bring in new visitors.

"Oakenhoof have kindly performed at the engine house three times now and always go down extremely well.

“We are always looking for new volunteers to help both on work days (Tuesdays) and at the monthly steam days. Volunteers of all roles are welcome, and we have some very exciting work being undertaken on our new engine ‘Irene’.”

Oakenhoof were formed in 2014 as an all-age, open folk arts group based in Littleborough. The group "share the joy of folk dance, music and song, stories and visual arts".

Next month the engine house hosts the Northern Retro car club meeting.

Oakenhoof will be at the Littleborough Rushbearing Festival on the 21 and 22 July.
