A small quantity of tyres were set on fire in the woodland fire behind Holborn Street in Rochdale on Friday (1 June).
Fire engines from Chadderton and Heywood used buckets to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters on site confirmed the source of the fire was not due to the lightning of the thunderstorm.
