1st Middleton Scouts raise £126 towards World Scout Jamboree

Three members of the 1st Middleton Scouts raised £126 towards the World Scout Jamboree with a cake sale on Wednesday 30 May.

NOV Process & Flow Technologies UK Limited at Greengates, Middleton kindly allowed Amelia Hadfield, Madeleine Foex and Sebastien Foex to raise funds for their participation in the 24th World Scout Jamboree in July 2019.

All been selected to represent Greater Manchester North Scout County at the Jamboree, but must raise £4,000 each to participate.

The Jamboree takes place between 22 July and 2 August 2019 in West Virginia. It will see 45, 000 scouts from over 200 countries brought together for three weeks of fun and learning at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve.

All participants had to submit an application form for the Jamboree and attend a selection weekend involving lots of teamwork, problem solving and other tasks.
