Hamer Community Primary School rated “Good”

Date published: 28 May 2018

The overall rating of the school is that it remains a “Good” school with many strengths highlighted.

Parents got the chance to speak with the Inspector on the playground and she very much enjoyed meeting all parents.

One of the strengths is of course the wonderful children in terms of the way they behave beautifully and throw themselves with enthusiasm into their learning.

Mr Buxton – Moore is very pleased to communicate that the very positive report has now been published.  Any parents who wish to have a paper copy of the report may request one from the school office.

The Year 3 and 4 netball team took part in the IPLCN tournament at Marland Hill school this week.  They played really well as a team and tried their very best. Their sporting values and behaviour were, as always with Hamer children, outstanding.

The Year one children will have their statutory phonics screening check in school in the week beginning Monday 11 June and the results will be communicated with parents when they receive the summer school reports at the end of the school year.

Well done to Mrs Elliott’s Class with best attendance for week ending Friday 18 May.

Have a lovely half term holiday next week.  School re-opens at 8.45am on Monday 4 June for the start of Summer Term 2.
