Rochdale Christadelphians

Our Bible Hour this Sunday 13 May, at 4:30pm will be on the subject “The Bible is not out of date”.

Even the most recent parts of the Bible were written nearly 2000 years ago – some parts even longer ago. It makes one wonder how it can possibly still be relevant today – yet it is.

There is plenty of evidence that the Bible was far ahead of its time, in the up-to-date understanding of medicine and science shown in many passages, and the many fulfilled prophecies, as well as prophecies which are in the process of coming to pass.

The laws in the Law of Moses have also formed the basis of many countries’ legal systems. So why should the Bible’s spiritual message no longer be relevant?

God made a promise to Abraham sometime around 4000 years ago. He told him that he and his offspring would inherit the land of Israel – and that through him all the nations of the world would be blessed.

This promise remains consistent throughout the Bible, and the time is coming for it to be fulfilled – although Abraham never owned any more of the land than a plot in which to bury his wife during his lifetime, soon he will be resurrected, and along with the other faithful he will live forever.

We also have the opportunity to be part of this promise.

Our Bible class will be held at 7:45pm on Tuesday 15 May.
