Help Siddal Moor celebrate 50 years

Siddal Moor Sports College has an amazing history that dates back well before its official opening in September 1968.

The Newhouse Road school was formed from Heywood Grammar School and the Bamford Road and Hornby Street secondary modern schools.

During autumn 2018, Siddal Moor will celebrate its 50th anniversary and staff would like to invite everyone who has a connection with the school to come along. There is also room for former pupils and families, colleagues and friends to get involved in planning the celebrations.

If you have memorable story to share, or items or photos from the school’s history, Siddal Moor would love to hear from you.
