Four teenagers charged after spate of robberies

Four teenagers have been charged after a spate of robberies in Rochdale.

The teenagers – who cannot be named for legal reasons - include a 16-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy who have all been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

They appeared at Manchester Youth Court on Saturday (5 May 2018).

A 14-year-old girl has been released with no further action.

At around 4pm on Wednesday 2 May 2018 police were called to a report of a taxi driver being robbed on Bury Road.

Six further reports came into police around the area including an elderly man being hit with a brick and another robbery of a taxi driver.
