Mayor Ian Duckworth opens the Croft Shifa Pharmacy
Mayor Ian Duckworth officially opened Croft Shifa Pharmacy at the Croft Shifa Health Centre on Belfield Road.
Croft Shifa Pharmacy, which was acquired by the Hub pharmacy in January, has had a full refit, upgraded IT systems and improvements to reflect the Hub pharmacy’s modern service based approach to community healthcare.
The pharmacy is now able to provide the community of Rochdale with a large range of pharmacy services including free prescription delivery, electronic prescriptions and a travel clinic service, which provides expert advice and vaccinations to anyone travelling overseas, without needing an appointment.
Steve Jeffers, CEO of the Hub pharmacy, said, “It was very kind of the Mayor to take time out of his busy schedule to officially re-open the pharmacy and also talk to all our team members about their roles in the pharmacy and the great range of services we now offer to our patients.”
Mayor Duckworth said, “The mayoress and I were impressed by the ambience, professionalism and friendliness of Croft Shifa Pharmacy. A very welcoming and friendly environment – it is now an essential part of the local community.”
