Concern for man’s welfare in Middleton

Police were concerned for the welfare of a man in Middleton on Monday (30 April).

As part of enquiries into a concern for welfare, police attended a property on Rochdale Road.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “A force negotiator was sent to the scene to speak to a man who wasn’t engaging with police.

“A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order and cultivating cannabis.”

Enquiries are ongoing.
