Date published: 23 April 2018

A group of volunteers helped to pack customers shopping at Asda, Rochdale, to raise almost £400 for local charity Red-Aid on Sunday.

Trish Alessandra, Red-Aid chairwoman,  said: “It’s great when people work together for a good cause,

"I would like to thank all who donated money, which will go to such valuable causes and all those who volunteered their time to help.

"I would also like to thank Des Marasha, the community champion, and the team at Asda for giving us this opportunity.”

Red-Aid is a charity that seeks to ‘Make life more enjoyable for young people with disabilities and their carers in Rochdale'.
