Spring in Milnrow Memorial Park

Date published: 23 April 2018

Milnrow Memorial Park was bathed in sunshine when Rochdale Online visited, with families enjoying the warm spring weather.

The park has plenty for families and children of all ages to enjoy, with a mini cycle track and playground for toddlers and mini assault course, and a teenage play area.

The skateboard park was busy with children practicing their scooter tricks.

Multi-use games area for football, basketball and other ball games.

Children were practicing their climbing skills trying to get to the top of The Milnrow Giant Sculpture at the top of the hill and families were picnicking on the grass, playing ball games and cricket.

There is crown bowling green with a café and toilet facilities.

For those who just want a quite walk or to exercise their dog there are a network of footpaths, a woodland walk and landscaped gardens with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the views.

The Milnrow War Memorial is located in the centre of the park with special benches and gardens in a quite area of the park.

A car park is also available.

Friends of Milnrow Memorial Park organise events in the park throughout the year and help keeping the park clean and tidy.
