Troops of scouts, cubs and beavers led the annual St George’s Parade on Sunday (22 April).

Troops from the Rochdale Township took part in the parade, which began at the rear of Rochdale Town Hall, before parading along The Esplanade into Broadfield Park.

The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Lord Lieutenant  of Lancashire attended as the District Cub Scout Leader, Len Tolan, took the salute.

Littleborough Band filled the air with music as they closed the parade before the scout, cub and beaver promises were renewed at the bandstand.

David Almond, 10, also addressed the crowd, leaders and parents, reminding them all of the Scout Law before an afternoon of refreshments and activities for all.
