National Primary School Allocation day, 16 April, has seen 90% of children received their first choice school place in the borough.
All children in Rochdale borough that applied for a place here have been allocated one.
Gail Hopper, director of children services, said: “Waiting for this day is a nervous, but exciting time, for parents.
"I’m really pleased that our first choice preference figure is so high. It is a huge credit to our admissions team and I wish every success to all children in starting their school journey in September.”
