Candidates for the May local election published

The full list of candidates for the local election on 3 May has been published on the election pages of Rochdale Online.

Both Labour and Conservatives are fielding candidates in all 20 wards.

The Liberal Democrats are fielding candidates in 17 wards, the exceptions being East Middleton, North Middleton, Hopwood Hall.

UKIP field seven candidates, all in Heywood or Middleton wards.

The Greens have six candidates, all contesting wards in Rochdale.

There are three Independent candidates, in Castleton, North Middleton, and Spotland & Falinge.

Candidates are invited to submit pitches (news@rochdaleonline.co.uk) to be published on the election pages, and this year we are also encouraging video pitches.
