Man charged following incident at hospital

Police have charged a 35-year old man with a string of offences, including two counts of possession of bladed article, criminal damage and shoplifting, in connection with an incident at the Royal Oldham Hospital on Thursday (29 March).

Greater Manchester Police said: “He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at court, where hopefully he will be remanded to prison.

“In addition he has been bailed for a serious assault for further enquiries to be made before we can approach the Crown Prosecution Service for authority to charge.”
