Link4Life staff cuts begin to take place in Littleborough

Date published: 29 March 2018

Link4Life staff cuts in Littleborough have begun to take place as part of the ‘efficacy programme’.

A number of reception staff and evening instructors are understood to have had their hours reduced with many set to finish on Saturday (31 March).

In January, Rochdale Online reported how employees at the sports company were facing job losses.

Chief Executive Andy King said: “It is not without considerable thought that we have embarked on this process. As a charity we face a number of important financial challenges including increased competition, reduced income, increased overheads and the need to invest in our facilities and equipment.

“This is of course, a very difficult time for all involved and we are doing all we can to support those affected. In the meantime, all of our centres remain open as usual and residents will continue to be able access all of the services and facilities they enjoy.”
