NADRA surgery at Castlemere Community Centre

Date published: 27 March 2018

A recent National Database Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (NADRA) surgery in Castlemere Community Centre dealt with 84 National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis, (NICOP) applications from disabled, women with children and the elderly.

The cards act as a Pakistan visa for up to ten years, and current card holders can apply for renewal.

Also attending on the day were Deputy Mayor Councillor Mohammed Zaman, Deputy Leader of Rochdale Council Councillor Dalaat Ali, Councillor Aasim Rashid and former councillor Imtiaz Ahmed, who were all pleased to see the surgeries held on the doorsteps of the Pakistani and Kashimiri communities.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Chairman of the Board of Castlemre Community Centre, thanked all councillors, the NADRA Team, Hafiz Abdulmalik, Centre Manager and all applicants for their continued support over the years.

He added: “I hope this continued support will go long into the future and continue to ease the inconvenience to people of travelling to Manchester. "

The monthly NADRA surgeries have been held in Rochdale for the last ten years, helping thousands who would struggle to attend the office in Manchester, including disabled people, older people, single parents, people who suffer from long illnesses, diabetics, etc.
